Shelley Zaborowksi has been at the Nebraska Alumni Association for the past 13 years and serves as Associate Executive Director. In this role, Zaborowski is the secretary for the association’s Executive Board of Directors and Alumni Advisory Council and manages a variety of events and programs, including Husker SpiritFest/Alumni Weekend and Cather Circle, which she helped develop. During her tenure at the association, Zaborowski has also worked with Student Alumni Association and the Scarlet and Cream Singers.

Zaborowski is a 1996 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications. She also earned a master of education in 2000. Zaborowski’s honors include receiving a Council of Alumni Association Executives Forman Fellowship in 2007, the Lincoln Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Award in 2006 and being elected UNL Homecoming Queen in 1995.

Shelley and her husband Keith have two children, Madeline, 7, and Ethan, 6.  She spends most of her non-working hours with her children, cheering them on at their sporting events, leading the Girl Scout troop, and shuttling them around.  She is also a master at detangling Barbie’s hair and can build a wooly mammoth out of tinker toys.
