As senior director for operations, Andy Washburn manages membership and giving, financial operations, sponsorship and advertising, and the association's travel program. He also oversees athletic tickets and Nebraska Champions Club passes.

Washburn has been at the Nebraska Alumni Association in various roles for the past 12 years. He has served as president of the Council of Alumni Membership and Marketing Professionals (CAMMP), and has presented at the Council of Alumni Association Executives (CAAE), the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and CAMMP numerous times on non-dues revenue programs, membership theory, membership program efficiency and strategic branding application.

A native of Gretna, Neb., Washburn is a two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of journalism degree in 2000, and he completed his MBA in 2007, also in the top 5 percent of his graduating class. Washburn and his wife, Ashley, have one son, Evan, 2.
