As senior director for publications, Andrea Wood Cranford serves as editor for Nebraska Magazine and Good NUz, as well as print and online marketing and communications materials. In addition, Cranford is the unofficial staff historian and "Ask Andy" guru. She also serves on the Integrated Alumni Engagement Committee and is the staff liaison to the association's UNL Emeriti affiliate group.
Cranford has been with the alumni association for nearly 40 years and has strong ties to the campus and Lincoln communities. A long-time member and past president of the Nebraska Press Women, Cranford has been recognized by the group with their Achievement Award. In addition to earning national honors for her work on alumni publications, she has received the College of Journalism and Mass Communication's Dean's Award for Exemplary Service.
A native of Lincoln, Neb., Cranford is a 1971 graduate of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and a third-generation University of Nebraska–Lincoln grad. She and her husband, Dana, have two sons, Matt and Pat.
